My first thought when I saw that Jordan Peterson was going to be on “Real Time,” was excitement. Peterson has arrived in the big time! The second thing I thought was “Please don’t say anything embarrassing.”

I thought Peterson acquitted himself well. He was himself. His intensity will blow your hair back. People answered him well, with a couple of exceptions.

This article is meant to address those exceptions.

Here is where Peterson asks a question about the polarization in the US.

He makes a passing reference to how leftists don’t think Trump supporters are very bright. “You might not think they’re very bright and all of that … that they’re backwards…”

I hear this a lot from the right (Peterson swears up and down he’s not right wing). It’s the right wing message blatantly intended to fuel right wing resentment of the left. Peterson repeats it as if it is a mathematical given.
