The person who makes the claim (there is a god) is the one who has to provide evidence. That’s how discourse works.

It’s true that a yardstick will not measure temperature, but that’s just the wrong measuring device. Thermometers will measure temperature very well — as will your skin. (Your skin isn’t as accurate but it will give you a relative measure.)

But no evidence like that exists for God or any god. Sorry. God must be believed without evidence.

“define evidence in such a way that there cannot possibly be any.” There are all kinds of evidence that would be acceptable for the existence of climate change or evolution but there is nothing like that for God.
