I looked up the CDC statistics for child deaths last month. Kids from 5–22 are more than 50 times more likely to die in a traffic accident

That’s why cars are strictly regulated. Insurance is required by law. Safety equipment is required. You must pay an annual tax to drive them. A title is required that stays with the car from sale to sale. You must be tested and certified as a competent driver. There are restrictions on where you may drive and where you can park.

And yet millions of cars are on the road. “Only” 37,461 people were killed by cars in 2016 and there were 38,000 gun deaths.

Guns need regulations similar to cars.
