It was meant to be funny.

However, I’ve taught and participated in hundreds of self-help classes and the number of men in those classes could be counted on the fingers of one hand with a finger or two left over. Real men are supposed to be able to handle abject misery with whiskey and a bowie knife in the camp fire. Only a girly-man would ask for help. And I’m only being somewhat ironic here.

I admire Peterson because he talks to men about being decent human beings and doesn’t give them the kind of rapey advice they get from the MRAs.
